Oh My Potluck!

Good recipes to share with friends.

All Fluffed Up Fruit Salad

ambrosia saladIs it  dessert? Is it for the main course? These are good questions, and I can’t tell you, only you can answer that. They work for both and they work absolutely perfectly at a potluck where a course is a loose term.

Just look at how colourful this salad is. Isn’t it beautiful all nestled in a fluffy cloud of marshmallows? The modern day ability to get so many exotic fruits is truly remarkable. Mangoes? I doubt that I could have procured a mango half a century ago.

You can certainly choose your own selection of fruits for the salad. I tried to get a nice array of colours working with these tropical selections (and my BFF loves mangoes so I chose those for him).

This recipe offers a great opportunity to share this colourful video by Kate Nash, who’s questioning those people she calls “friends”. You know, the people we all have in our lives who hang around but don’t treat us right? Kate’s a really cool girl,  a fresh face from the UK, with a power-pop style and great taste. Check her out:

I will share this with all of my friends for sure, it is as delightful as it is beautiful.
